Community and Outreach

Sharing our passion for paleontology with the public is one of the great joys of our work. Our team members regularly volunteer their time for school science days, museum events, and public lectures. We partner with local schools and youth organizations to spark curiosity about Earth’s history—bringing real fossils and artifacts into classrooms or leading field trips to nearby paleontological sites. By educating the next generation about the importance of preserving the fossil record, we hope to inspire future scientists and responsible stewards.

At Paleo Resource Specialists, we recognize that running a business comes with a responsibility to operate ethically and sustainably. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint both in our offices and in the field. Our green practices include minimizing paper use through digital reporting and electronic data collection, recycling and properly disposing of field materials and broken equipment, and using fuel-efficient vehicles whenever possible.

We sponsor presentations to groups such as the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology and the Geological Society of America, helping aspiring scientists gain exposure and enter the profession.

We also contribute to scientific research by supporting staff in publishing noteworthy findings from our projects and by collaborating with universities and museums on significant discoveries. When we unearth an especially important fossil, we engage academic experts to ensure it receives the detailed study it deserves—advancing scientific knowledge for all.
